What’s New in Ogunquit for 2025
Some say Ogunquit has just two seasons: tourist season and construction season. As the crowds thin out and the town quiets down in winter, hammers start swinging and paint starts flying. Local business owners waste no time preparing for the next big wave of visitors - renovating, relocating, and launching brand new ventures. Here’s a look at what’s fresh around town for 2025.
Duke’s – Now in Perkins Cove
Front of a blue building with a sign that says 'Dukes'
Opening in early May,
Duke’s
brings a refined take on surf and beach apparel to the heart of Perkins Cove. Think stylish coastal wear for women, men, and kids - plus accessories that channel laid-back luxury. It’s a new name, but the family behind Duke’s has deep roots in the Cove. Be sure to swing by and say hello.
Alchemy Jewelry – Handcrafted Elegance in a New Ogunquit Home
Jewelry showcased on shell shaped vases.
After years in Eliot, Maine,
Alchemy Jewelry
has brought its signature sparkle to Ogunquit. Now located in the brand-new Hutchins Commons building next to the post office, this shop is a treasure trove of handcrafted jewelry and thoughtfully chosen gifts. Their specialty? Custom fine jewelry that blends artistry with personal meaning. Whether you're looking for a one-of-a-kind piece or a unique gift, Alchemy’s new space is the perfect place to start exploring.
The Old Village Inn – A New Chapter
The beloved
Old Village Inn
restaurant reopened in 2024 with a standout food and cocktail menu, and this year they’ve gone even further. Over the winter, the entire interior has been reimagined. They plan to reopen in early May, we can’t wait to see the full reveal.
Beach Bum Threads – Bigger & Better
Beach Bum Threads
has traded its cozy Cove space for a much larger location right in Ogunquit Village. It’s the same laid-back surf shop vibe you love - just with more room to browse. Stop in and check out their expanded selection!
Kiki’s – New Digs, Same Great Finds
Kiki’s
has moved, but don’t worry, they didn’t go far. Still in Perkins Cove, you’ll now find them across the street at 106 Perkins Cove Rd. With two full floors to explore, you’ll have twice the opportunity to discover your next favorite thing.
The Trident Inn – Boutique Charm by the Sea
Say hello to
The Trident Inn
, Ogunquit’s newest boutique stay. Formerly known as 2 Village Square, the property has been completely transformed under the creative eye of Scottie Vogel (yes, the same Scottie from The Front Porch and Crew). With a stylish new vibe and an onsite restaurant, it’s already making waves.
Coastal Alchemist – A New Home for Your Favorite Wine Bar
Coastal Alchemist
, the sleek little wine bar that once lived near the
Barn Gallery
, now has a new home, inside
The Trident Inn
. It’s still as cozy and curated as ever, just a few steps closer to your room (which could come in handy after a glass or two... or three).
Temporary Closures to Note
While the season brings plenty of fresh openings, a few local favorites are currently taking time to recover from recent fires.
Oarweed Restaurant
, Uniques and Antiques, and
Five-O Shore Road
are all temporarily closed. We’re looking forward to seeing each of them return stronger than ever.
